Review Deadlines
Setting deadlines and what happens when they pass.
Setting a Deadline
When configuring a review workflow, you can set a deadline for when reviews should be completed. This helps keep projects on track and gives reviewers a clear expectation.
Reminder Emails
Writerflow automatically sends reminder emails to reviewers who haven't completed their review as the deadline approaches.
What Happens at the Deadline
When a deadline passes, the document owner is notified. Depending on the workflow configuration:
- Standard: The document remains in review — reviewers can still submit their feedback
- Silence as Approval: If enabled during workflow setup, reviewers who haven't responded by the deadline are counted as having approved
Tip: Use deadlines strategically. Setting a 3-5 day review window gives clients enough time to respond while keeping your project timeline on track.
